Let's spend a minute with Debbie from Flowers of Adelaide. The store located in Adelaide has some amazing creations as you can see from their gorgeous photos.
Let's learn a little bit about your business and services you offer, can you give us a brief overview?
Flowers of Adelaide is a family owned business that has been part of the forestry industry for over 25 years. Weddings are a particular passion although we are involved in all aspects of floristry. We not only create beautiful Bridal flowers which include Bouquets, Buttonholes and Corsages, but all aspects of floral decoration from ceremony to reception. We can provide vases, urns, pedestals, arches, candles, pew decorations, decorative crystals, feathers, in fact we can source most things our Brides desire. If we haven’t got it we will find it!
How did you get involved in the wedding industry?
In the early years Flowers of Adelaide shared premises with a wedding gown designer, hence the passion was ignited!
Do you have any kind of underlying philosophy, that guides the way you approach weddings?
Every Bride and every wedding is special, unique and important to us.
Do you have a unique selling point, or something that makes your business extra special?
Certainly our very personal service. We consider our Brides as part of the Flowers of Adelaide family. We still keep contact with many of them years after their weddings!
In your oppinion, what is it about your service that makes a wedding day extra special?
Our attention to detail is second to none and we always go that extra mile to ensure everything is perfect. You do not get a second chance with a wedding, everything must be perfect on the day so fine tuning all of those little details is essential.
We particularly noticed how nice the photos looked on your profile, is there an interesting story behind any of them?
The white Phalaenopsis Orchid Bouquet was for a Bride who had a Moulin Rouge themed wedding. We had a ball working on that one! Feathers and bling, red and black, it was amazing! We also loved creating the multi coloured bouquet, which flowed on to the theme for the reception decorations. Very dramatic. It was so unusual and quite spectacular. The Bride was thrilled,, it was exactly what she wanted. Her dream came true and that’s what’s important to us.
If you could give one piece of advice to a bride (or groom) on their special day, what would it be?
Every hour, take a breath, slow down and just absorb the day. Look around, take it all in, it will be over before you know it!
We're really excited that you've joined the My Wedding Concierge family, anything final before we sign off?
We have a very special team that are responsible for the wedding side of our business. A dedicated wedding consultant who cares for our Brides like they are her daughters, an amazing designer that specialises in Bouquets, and several others that have particular talents in different areas. All are passionate about weddings and we like to think that shows in all of our work.
